the collection includes

1. One small rectangular mirror pried off the inside of an inexpensive eyeshadow palette. The adhesive was weaker, and thus required less effort to remove.
2. Another small rectangular mirror from a different eyeshadow trio from the same brand. Both are approximately 1” x 3”.
3. The mirror from the underside of the lid of a Victoria’s Secret makeup palette. This was very difficult to remove. I basically broke the lid off of the entire thing, and I needed a sharp knife to hack away at the topmost decorative layer of the lid to even get to the mirror backing.
4. Another small circular mirror from a foundation compact. The mirror is still attached to a section of the container. The mirror was set too deep to pry off.
5. A shard from a smaller mirror of another powder foundation compact. The glue which adhered this to the compact was very strong, and when I tried to force the mirror off, it shattered, and I bled all over the kitchen countertop.
6. A video demonstrating the effects of light shining directly into a mirror and reflecting into the lens of a camera.
7. A photograph or sculpture of mirror shards attached to a web of wire. The web will either hang overhead, or curve forward like an awning.
8. A photograph of mirrors attached to an unfinished wooden base. The mirrors will be attached on a number of flat, angled planes.
9. A photograph of a sculpture of mirror fragments hanging from thin chains. The sculpture will resemble an infant’s mobile.
10. A photograph of a sculpture in which mirror fragments stand upright in a bed of small pebbles or sand. They overlap one another to create a very distorted reflection.

Reflection- (re-flec-tion)

The image of something seen again on another surface.

1. a spoon of fork- it's a metal spoon that has a reflective surface

2. a mirror- hopefully i'll find a small mirror that doesn't have any kind of frame, or pieces of a broken mirror

3. a picture of someone looking at their reflection, in the reflection the person will be sloppy and worn down and the actual person will look put together

4. a picture of one of the side mirrors of a car that is shattered

Pokémon

Pokémon (poke-a-mon)

(n) Digital creatures that exist in the world around us. They can typically be found in the wild, but some are created in laboratories (aka test-tube Pokémon). Some humans breed them, but most will simply catch them in devices known as Pokeballs. They can be trained, but note that some will not take kindly to being captured.

1. A figurine of Meowth, a cat-like Pokemon. Meowth has a golden coin on his forehead, most likely a symbol of good-fortune.

2. A figurine of Vulpix, a firefox Pokemon. Vulpix is rare and known to be shy.

3. A figurine of Scyther, a bug Pokemon. Built like a praying-mantis, Scyther are well-known to be tough fighters with their blade-like claws.

4. A figurine of Gyrados, a sea-faring dragon Pokemon. Gyrados are known to travel the seas, and are often-times mistaken for the lockness monster.

5. A figurine of Psyduck, a psychic duck-like Pokemon. Often mistaken as stupid, Psyduck is a very confused Pokemon because he constantly has migranes.

6. A figurine of Squirtle, a turtle-like Pokemon. Squirtle's hard shell keeps him protected from enemy attacks.

7. A figurine of Hitmonlee, a fighting-style Pokemon. Hitmonlee is well-known to pack a kick so hard that he can move a mid-sized SUV out of the way.

8. A figurine of Charizard, a fire-dragon Pokemon. Charizard is well-known to be one of the most-feared Pokemon because of his potential to spray flames in the direction of those he does not like.

9. A figurine of Golem, a rock-type Pokemon. Golem is covered in a thick layer of stones that keep him protected, and give him great strength.

10.A figurine of Pikachu, an electric-rat type Pokemon. Pikachu are known to shock people passing by, so be wary if you see one in the bushes!

I was thinking I might give them all new paint-jobs, perhaps in black with neon stripes, somewhat similar to tron. I might put them on pedestals that would be painted black.

Definition & Collection List

chopstick [chopstick]
noun. plural: chopsticks
a pair of sticks, traditionally made with wood, that are used to pick up food. Used in mostly Asian cultures, such as Chinese or Japanese

List:

1. Metal chopsticks taken from a set of metal silverware. There are ridged ends at the bottom so that food will be easier to grasp.
2. A dark colored pair of wooden chopsticks that have been covered with a layer to make the outer covering smooth. The pattern on top consists of different sizes of lines and values of the color brown to form a unique design.
3. These chopsticks have a plaid design on the upper half of the chopsticks and are also covered with some sort of clear material to keep the wood in tact and smooth for holding. Taken from my roommate and has ridged ends as well to help pick up food securely.
4. These chopsticks are from Din Tai Fung restaurant. Since it's from a restaurant, the quality and shape of these chopsticks are decent, but I still had to break them apart because it was attached at the top.
5. Plastic chopsticks that are used to carry around. Came in a portable container as well, but it's smaller and more useful for people who pack lunch with them.
6. The most basic type of chopstick, offered at all sorts of Chinese takeouts. This one was specifically from Panda Express, and has splinters sticking out because it hasn't been covered with glaze or anything.
7. The chopsticks that I designed myself are originally from Panda Express, too. However, I colored them with oil pastels in all different colors and then spray fixative over them so that the oil pastels won't smudge so easily.
8. Chopsticks that I colored over with compressed charcoal in order to make a "reproduction." Completely covered in black, with some wood peeking out, I also got these from Panda Express. Used the charcoal "stamps" on a piece of drawing paper!
9. Paper chopsticks that I made myself from Panda Express wrappers. Had to wrap them around actual chopsticks to retain shape and will probably reinforce their shape with tape.
10. "Paper mache" chopsticks that are long and large. Basically, made of paper mache, with glue and paper. WIll be used as the "main" chopsticks in my final collection display!

Go Army

Military-
Adj: In relation to or in reference to a nations armed forces.
Noun: A contracted member of a nations armed forces.

1. An image of the cover of my military folder. It is the standard folder all reqruits get.
2. Copies of my military contract. These papers have all my military information required to process as a solider.
3. Copy of my drill weekend schedule. These are scheduled dates I need to report to my unit in California.
4. A copy of my future soldier contract. This is a contract I need to follow by law so that I can be sent for basic training.
5. Prints of the US Army ACU pattern. This is the new camoflage used in the Middle East.
6. Pistol belt, this is a belt used in the field. It holds your canteens first aid kit and compass.
7. Canteens, these are water holding devices to keep a soldier hydreated. It is neccessary to stay hydrated in the filed.
8. First aid kit for emergency accidents. This is used for minor injuries.
9. Ballistic Helmet, for saftey helmets are issued to all soldiers. They are very heavy and bullet proof.
10. Pic's of some of the people I am going to miss while at basic and AIT training. I will be gone for 5-6 months and the pictures will help me with home sickness.

To reproduce objects, I am thinking about photographing/scanning the most important parts and making a poster of them.

As an index, the military objects such as: the canteen, pistol belt can be used to make impressions.

[SKELETON] skel⋅e⋅ton [skel-i-tn] -noun

1. a composition of bones from either human or an animal placed together providing the framework of the body.

Examples:

-Henry: Formerly a plain wooded drawing model. Hand painted black and buttercream.

-Hardwick: A cute plushdoll, used as decoration. Accented with a skull and six ribs.

-Buffalo Exchange ad: Taken from the OC Weekly magazine. A skeleton wearing a costume drawn in the style of the Day of the Dead.

-Skull beads: small beads shaped as skulls with a hole coming from top to bottom. A collection in itself of 25 pieces.

-Phone charm: A child dressed up as a skeleton for halloween. From the Nightmare Before christmas.

-Bracelet: Worn on my wrist for about three years now. Twenty three skulls in total.

-Gloves: A pair of gloves with bones on it. Starting from the metacarpals to carpals, glow in the dark.

-Pillowcase: Many dancing skeletons around a tombstone. Also glow in the dark.

-Poster: An anatomical chart with two diagrams. Showing skeletons, muscles, and vein work.

Desktop background: Skeletons tiled in the background of my computer. They are pointing towards the right.

Time [tahym]     -noun    1.  A specific place or period in space in which something exists or occurs
                                     2.  A method of measuring the passage of moments within a day
                                     3.  Music.  Beat or tempo kept within a piece of music

Time Collection:
1.  A friend's green Nooka watch.  It tells time not like a digital or a standard clock with hands does, but tells it in blocks and bars.
2.  A white square shaped pig digital clock.  This lights up when pressed down upon, and will be recreated through photos in a poster form.
3.  My red LG Xenon cell phone.  It gives the time when you lock it, so a sticker will read press here for the time in order to turn it on.
4.  A sand timer from a Taboo game.  May be replicated into a 3D drawing with real sand.
5.  A old sun dial.  Possible sculpture, most likely a painting or photo.
6.  A recreation but modulated version of the clock piece "Perfect Lovers."  May be paint, possibly photo.
7.  A sculpture of a clock with no numbers but with hands. 
8.  A metronome for music. I would like to make this a 3D picture/painting.
9.  An old antique pocket watch and chain.  It would be cool presented with an actual coat.
10.  The time turner from Harry Potter.  I would make this out of metal and chain.
11.  A photo of a school clock or a grandfather clock.  I see this photo in black and white with extreme contrasts in lighting.
12.  An egg shaped or other eccentrically shaped kitchen timer.  This could possibly be replaced by a stop watch used in sports activities.
