Friend [frend]
A significant person’s in someone’s life
A person whom one has the luck to know and share memories with.
A person whom one trusts their dreams, ideas, and feelings to.
1. Mr.Tigerrr brand t-shirt. My friend Tiger works hard to put his name out there as an artist. He will wear the t-shirt I bought from him. He inspires me every day with his ambitions. I wish I can be more like him.
2. Tofu stuffed animal. It was the first gift that my close friend Marisa gave me. She is truly a shoulder I know I can cry on. It will be placed gently on her hip in a feminine posture as she lays down on the couch.
3. Necklace with three rings. My roommate Elaine gave it to me for my 20th birthday present. She is one of the most understanding individuals I ever met. The necklace will dangle from her hand as the camera zooms in.
4. Cosmo Magazine. My friend Yudho gave this to me as a present. A friend who gives so much to others, but not enough to himself. It will cover his face as he reads it.
5. Box covered with cut out quotes of inside jokes. My ex-boyfriend Viet gave this to me when he first asked me out. It is a symbol of our rough friendship. He will lean against a counter as the box is behind him.
6. CLO sweater. A symbol of my first year of dorm life in Cielo. Ironically, where my close friend Jojo felt distant from. The strongest individual I know. She will wear it and the picture will be taken from her back.
7. Bubbles. For my birthday, my close friend Sang surprised me by visiting me when I was completely busy. He is truly an amazing person. You wouldn’t think such thoughtful and kind people existed in this world. He is proof of that. The camera will photograph his mouth blowing bubbles.
8. Laughter. The camera will zoom in on my roommate Jennifer’s mouth. I will capture her when she is smiling and laughing. She laughs at everything and always seems full of life and happiness. She is a brave soul going through a rough patch in her life. I love it when she smiles, but at the same time it makes me want to cry.
9. Frying pan and spatula. The best gift a roommate can give is food. My roommate Crystal is an amazing cook and I appreciate her kindness and crazy behavior. I couldn’t have found a better roommate.
10. Stuffed animal, birthday card and picture. This is all I have of my long time friend Nicole who lives in Miami, Florida; where I am originally from. She is in essence everything that is my past, and hopefully will still be part of my future. I will photograph the picture of our shadows next to the stuffed animal and birthday card, so in a way she is present in the photograph like all my friends are present in theirs without having to show her face.
In each photograph, none of their faces will be shown and I will have their own words replicated and displayed. I don’t know if I should do it manually or photoshop the scanned words. I will try both methods to see how they look. These photos will be displayed on the wall, in perfect rows, but as if there were missing photos in between.

I like the idea of representing a person without the face or not even being there physically. It's more about depicting their presence through alternative means. You should really experiment with strategies, but I would think about the best way to incorporate the text within the image.
