I think your project can be interesting if you can really push the work on visual and conceptual levels. What does it mean to delete information by cutting into a photo? Is it possible to make a new composition and rearticlulate the image through that gesture? You should look at the works of Gordon Matta Clark and recent John Baldessari paintings.
