Body Double

I brought my finished body double to class today ecstatic about how it turned out. I replicated my arm on cardboard pasting pictures of my actual arm on one side and the robotic arm of a terminator on the other. I've always thought of the human body as a really advanced machine. I attached some string to it made of floss that I can pull and make it move. I was happy it came out so well because after the project was over I was able to use it to fool my friends.

  1. Hi Brian,
Will it look realistic or be more playful---more terminator or more sock puppett. Either way, I look forward to the moving elements. What organic ingredient are you going to use?
    Best,
    Marcus

  2. It shall look as real as very arm on my body. For my organic ingredient I was thinking of using blood but I didn't really want to cut a hole in my body to get it so i might use cherry juice.

  3. cherry juice! nice. I think a lot of folks use food coloring and corn syrup... there may be an on-line recipe for fake blood...

  4. I wasnt sure if food coloring counted as organic but thanks for the suggestion. That would be easier. Anyways here's the hub cap thing I was telling you about. This site has other really cool artist pieces too that you might want to check out.
